Toxoplasma gondii is one of the most common infectious agents among humans throughout the world. Laboratory diagnosis of human toxoplasmosis has relied traditionally on serological tests. But these tests are inadequate in immunocompromised patients toxoplasma encephalitis and pneumonia, intrauterine toxoplasma
infections and ocular toxoplasmosis. Many studies have done to assess the value of detecting T.gondii in human samples using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Findings created that PCR could be a rapid and sensitive technique for the diagnose of intrauterine, ocular, cerebral and disseminated toxoplasmosis.
