Bioterrorism and Decontamination Management

After a bioterrorist attack, it is exteremely important to get people, properties and environment cleaned properly in terms of hygiene and economy. By this procedure called decontamination, especially, properties are sterilized and disinfected by a method selected according to the nature of biological agent and made reusable. In this review, importance of decontamination procedures and responsible institutes and their duties in our country have been explicated.

Biyoterörizm ve Dekontaminasyon Yönetimi

Biyoterörist saldırı sonucu mikroorganizmalara maruz kalan kişilerin, eşyaların ve çevrenin uygun yöntemlerle temizlenmesi hijyenik ve ekonomik açıdan son derece önemlidir. Dekontaminasyon olarak adlandırılan bu işlemle, özellikle eşyalar biyolojik etkene göre seçilecek bir yöntemle sterilize ve dezenfekte edilerek, tekrar kullanılabilir hale getirilir. Bu derlemede biyoterörizmle mücadelede dekontaminasyonun yeri ve ülkemizde bu konuda görev alan kurumlar ve sorumlulukları irdelenmiştir.
